Elizabeth Mumford paints in a whimsical style, often with a nautical theme. Each painting is surrounded by her signature black border inscribed with a verse and stenciled in the corners with scallop shells in bronze. Her work in oils reflects her love of New England and the sea: the magic of old wooden boats and houses.
Many of her images are now available as small framed prints, larger limited edition prints, and note cards. Renowned puzzle company “ Staves” has used her images for their intricate hand cut “jigsaw” puzzles, and Needlepoint of Back Bay is now creating high quality canvases of her work, including specially designed Christmas stockings.
Special items, such as handpainted glass Christmas ornaments, whimsical wood sign boards, and other items are available exclusively on this website.
